The Chinese Heritage in Panama – 150 Years of History

Since the 1800′s there have been numerous migrations outside of China into other countries. One such migration occurred in 1854 when a large number of Chinese came to the nation of Panama to aid build the Panamanian railway. The Chinese established settlements in many towns and cities throughout Panama, adapting to the community culture, however never giving up their own cultural traditions. More information: cool stuff
